Awards Night - Walk Now for Autism

I was a guest at the awards night for Utah's Walk Now for Autism last Thursday. I had the opportunity to attend the actual walk event back in May. It was STORMING and I was so impressed by all the wet and cold volunteers and families "weathering" the storm for such an important cause! It was wonderful to mingle with some of these families again and be inspired by their optimism and tireless efforts to fund autism research. Tricia Nelson heads the event...wow! I was so impressed with her drive and passion to serve the cause of autism.
No...this is not a picture of me attending a Stars Wars convention! =) These gentlemen are so awesome! They volunteer their time at all the Utah Autism Speaks events - Interacting with the families to ensure that they are having a great time. If you look closely at the picture, you will notice that the tubing on the man's costume standing next to me is covering the "Utah" on my banner - so my banner reads "Mrs. America"...I like the looks of that! I fly out to the Mrs. America pageant in one week! I have been so busy preparing and I look forward to meeting inspiring women from all around the nation! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH ME! =) .

Park City Art Festival

I attended the Park City Art Festival in support of my Father (www.jeffhepworthart.com) as well as to connect with the national art community. My organization: A Voice for Autism - recruits artists and collects original art work to be donated and auctioned for autism research. I am impressed with how many successful artist are willing to donate to such a worthy cause. Together we can use the arts to contribute to the need of better understanding autism and helping families in Utah's autism community.

Modeling Whimsy on KJZZ

Aren't these ladies gorgeous? I had the opportunity to model Whimsy clothing with some of my Mrs. Utah buddies. We were featured on KJZZ channel 14. http://www.whimsyclothing.com/ We had a great time! Aren't those yellow shoes yummy?

Clinton Parade

Fresh after winning the title, I had the fun opportunity to be apart of the Clinton City Parade. I had a great time connecting with the wonderful people in my local community, especially the little ones. Kids love the "princess crown". Clinton is a fantastic place to raise a family - we love it here and I appreciate all the support I have received from our many friends within this amazing community! Hmm...I'm thinking this shiny red convertible definitely makes me look more attractive, what do you think? =)
