I was a
guest at the awards night for Utah's Walk Now for Autism last Thursday. I had the opportunity to attend the actual walk event back in May. It was STORMING and I was so
impressed by all the wet and cold volunteers and
families "weathering" the storm for such an important cause! It was wonderful to mingle with some of these families again and be inspired by
their optimism and
tireless efforts to fund autism research. Tricia Nelson heads the event...wow! I was so impressed with her drive and passion to serve the cause of autism.
No...this is not a picture of me attending a Stars Wars convention! =) These
gentlemen are so awesome! They
volunteer their time at all the Utah Autism Speaks events - Interacting with the families to ensure that they are having a great time. If you look closely at the picture, you will notice that the tubing on the man's costume standing next to me is covering the "Utah" on my banner - so my banner reads "Mrs. America"...I like the looks of that! I fly out to the Mrs. America pageant in one week! I have been so busy preparing and I look forward to meeting inspiring women from all around
the nation! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH ME! =) .
